St Kilda Festival & Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee Festival 2019 – Call for Volunteers

The 2019 Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee and St Kilda Festival are fast approaching! We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible volunteers to give a helping hand. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working within a major festival environment.

Yaluk-ut Weelam Ngargee Festival is a two-day celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and culture which is held on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 of February 2019.

St Kilda Festival is a one-day Australian music festival and will be held on Sunday 10 February 2019.

Responsibilities as a volunteer include:

  • Distributing Festival information and brochures
  • Answering questions and directing attendees regarding program activities, locations etc
  • Activity and workshop assistance
  • Set up and pack down

Priority will be given to applicants currently studying or recently graduated in the fields of event management, music business or similar courses.

Applicants must be over the age of 18 to apply.

Working With Children Check

As part of Council’s commitment to Child Safe Standards, we require all Festival volunteers to hold a current Working With Children Check. As a volunteer, it is free to apply. For more information please visit: www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au
