ICEHOUSE Plays Flowers
We are excited to announce that Australian rock legends, ICEHOUSE, will be joining St Kilda Festival’s 40th Anniversary celebration!
Renowned as “one of the most successful Australian bands of the eighties and nineties”, our Very Special Anniversary Guests actually played at the very first St Kilda Festival back in 1980 which was also the year in which they released their debut album.
For this special performance ICEHOUSE will be revisiting their roots as ‘ICEHOUSE plays Flowers’ – a special set where they will play the songs from that album, some of which became Aussie anthems and launched them into stardom.
With a career spanning over forty years, ICEHOUSE are one of Australia’s most iconic bands, transcending age groups with their hit songs, well known and loved by audiences across generations. The band has released eight Top Ten albums, including their debut album which had over 5 times platinum success. ICEHOUSE has had over thirty Top Forty singles, earned themselves a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame, played to audiences all over the world and are currently performing to sold-out capacity audiences in Australia and New Zealand.
Forty years on from their performance at the first ever St Kilda Festival in 1980, we are overjoyed to welcome ICEHOUSE back to the stage in celebration of our 40th Anniversary!
Don’t miss your chance to experience one of Australia’s most iconic and beloved bands at St Kilda Festival on Sunday 9 February.
